Are you passionate about the ever-evolving world of cyber security? Do you possess the expertise and desire to educate and inspire the next generation of Cyber defenders? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Security Instructor to join our dynamic team.

As a Cyber Security teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of cyber security professionals. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and hands-on training to students, equipping them with the knowledge and skills required to excel in the field of cyber security. You will have the opportunity to design curriculums, develop engaging lesson plans, and implement effective teaching methodologies to promote active learning. You will train students for junior roles in various organizations, such as our Ministry of Defence.

This is what you’ll be doing:

  • Deliver comprehensive and engaging lectures on various aspects of cyber security, including but not limited to network security, cryptography, ethical hacking, and incident response.
  • Facilitate hands-on lab exercises and real-world simulations to reinforce theoretical concepts and promote practical application.
  • Design and develop curriculum that aligns with industry best practices and emerging trends in cyber security.
  • Evaluate student progress through assignments, exams, and practical assessments, providing constructive feedback to foster growth and improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cyber security technologies, methodologies, and threats, and incorporate them into instructional materials.
  • Mentor and guide students, assisting them in exploring career pathways and identifying opportunities for professional development.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and industry professionals to enhance the quality of education and maintain industry relevance.

So, what could my day look like?

  • Propose some improvements to our course material.
  • Prepare some small workshops and teach a class, alone or together with a fellow teacher.
  • Assess technical assignments to get a better understanding of the level of each student.
  • Write learning materials and teach it to super motivated learners.
  • Be proud of the technical level of the students & trainees you graduate.
  • Introduce updates, upgrades and new topics to our curriculum.

What we're hoping you'll bring with you:

  • Have an affinity for delivering high-quality and fun education.
  • Extensive experience with various technologies in Windows and Linux environments.
  • Experience setting up and using SIEMs, and working in SOCs.
  • Speak English fluently, since (almost!) all our classes are taught in English.

Extra bonus points for: 

  • Experience with newer or more advanced topics like Python, Reverse Engineering.
  • Experience with participating in red team/blue team testing scenarios.
  • CISSP certified, or similar/relevant.
  • Speak Dutch.
