Are you an innovative SME (MKB) and do you have the ambition to stimulate the lifelong learning and development of the employees within your organization? Then you can apply for a subsidy of up to € 24,999 for carrying out a learning and development process.

Within SMEs, there is often less emphasis on employee learning and development because employers do not always have the time, knowledge, and/or (financial) resources for this. With the SLIM subsidy (Learning and Development in SME Incentive Scheme) you can keep the skills of your employees up-to-date, receive career advice for employees or set up a business school. This will not only help with the employees’ learning curve but investing in your employees will also have a positive effect on the retention of your employees.

The SLIM subsidy for SMEs focuses on the following themes:

• Screening the company and formulating a new training and development plan (trends and developments are mapped out and the HR strategy is determined);
• Allowing departments or business activities to work together, so that they learn from each other;
• Conducting individual development interviews with external advisors;
• Setting up an academy, business school, or company-specific know-how;
• Setting up a learning portal for developing knowledge, skills, and professional attitude;
• Organizing a cycle of periodic development interviews and personal development plans, supervised and coached by an external advisor.

Apply for a SLIM subsidy?

The SLIM subsidy can be applied for from March 1 to March 30, 2023, and SLIM applications must meet various quality requirements. It is important that subsidy applications are complete, an incomplete or late application entails unnecessary costs.
